Tuesday I

Tuesday

In the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 15

1 [Psalm Of David]
Yahweh, who can find a home in your tent,
who can dwell on your holy mountain?

2 Whoever lives blamelessly,
who acts uprightly,
who speaks the truth from the heart,

3 who keeps the tongue under control,
who does not wrong a comrade,
who casts no discredit on a neighbour,

4 who looks with scorn on the vile,
but honours those who fear Yahweh,
who stands by an oath at any cost,

5 who asks no interest on loans,
who takes no bribe to harm the innocent.
No one who so acts can ever be shaken.

Mark 3,31-35

31 Now his mother and his brothers arrived and, standing outside, sent in a message asking for him.

32 A crowd was sitting round him at the time the message was passed to him, 'Look, your mother and brothers and sisters are outside asking for you.'

33 He replied, 'Who are my mother and my brothers?'

34 And looking at those sitting in a circle round him, he said, 'Here are my mother and my brothers.

35 Anyone who does the will of God, that person is my brother and sister and mother.'

Let us pray:

Holy Father, you grant us to share the same life of work, of prayer, and of peace. Preserve us from the ferment of discord, from jealousy, and from pride, and make our communion with you, renewed in these morning praises, be manifested in fraternal communion. Hear us, faithful God, blessed now and for all ages.

– Amen.
