In the morning, the conference opened with the reading of the message of Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington and Metropolitan of America and Canada, who for the first time gives us a gift of his presence at this convention; then the metropolitan Grigorios and John Stroyan read respectively the greetings sent by Hieronymos II, Archbishop of Athens and all of Greece, and Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury. 

The first speech was of Peter Mikhailov, of St. Tikhon University in Moscow, on Theía philoxenía. Abraham's hospitality in patristic theology. Followed by the works of Fotos Ioannidis, on Hospitality in the Rule of Benedict, and by Ioustinos Sinaitis, on The Ascent of xenithia in Giovanni Climaco.

The afternoon session began with reading messages sent by Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania, from Onufri, Metropolitan of Kiev and all of Ukraine, and Cardinal Kurth Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for the promotion of the unity of Christians.

Then Nadia Kizenko exposed the relationship "Guest and Foreigners: Russian emigration meets new contexts. Hospitality as a spiritual work". The second intervention by Anna Briskina-Müller presented Paisij Veličkovski and his multiethnic community. After the break, Giorgi Zviadadze talked about The hospitality in the Athonite monastery of Iviron, the crossroads of various orthodox spiritual traditions.
